Cobleskill, NY: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team picked up their second win of the season with a 3-1 victory over SUNY Poly on Wednesday evening. The Tigers won by scores of 24-26, 25-23, 25-16, 25-22, powered by crucial runs and standout performances from multiple players.
Emma Hinze (Altenburg, Mo./Saxony Lutheran) led the Tigers with 11 kills on a .292 hitting percentage and eight digs, four service aces and a block, while
Kathleen Smart (Nashville, Tenn./Pope John Paul II) added 13 digs, 10 kills and five service aces.
Baylee Kirschberg (Lindenhurst, NY) orchestrated the offense, dishing out 31 assists on the night and also contributed seven digs and two service aces.

Hallie Gasner (Middleburgh, NY) had a solid game for the Tigers with eight kills on a .278 hitting percentage while libero
Jojo Haycock (Bowie, Md) was everywhere on the defensive side finishing the game with eight digs.
After narrowly dropping the first set 24-26, Cobleskill responded with a key 4-0 run in the second set, turning a 12-12 tie game into a 16-12 lead. The Tigers held on to take the second set 25-23, swinging momentum in their favor. Cobleskill controlled the third set with an 8-0 run to give them a commanding 17-7 lead, thanks to a .476 hitting percentage, and sealed the match with a strong defensive effort in the fourth.
Cobleskill posted a .198 hitting percentage compared to SUNY Poly's .156, and their serving game proved crucial as they recorded 12 aces to SUNY Poly's 16. Defensively, Cobleskill had 41 digs, with Smart, Haycock and Hinze combining for 29.
The Fighting Tigers return to action this Saturday, September 21
st, as they welcome Skidmore College and Keuka College for a non-conference tri match hosted in the Iorio Gymnasium starting at 11 a.m.
