Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team closed out their 2025 campaign with a 2-0 loss to the Broncos of SUNY Delhi on Saturday evening at the Cobleskill Soccer/Lacrosse Complex.
Spencer Reisman (Youngstown, NY) recorded one shot, while
Gavin McEnroe (Burlington Flats, NY) led the Tigers with two.
Andrew Rimes (Walden, NY) contributed Cobleskill's only shot on target. In goal,
Joe Wille (Gilboa, NY) played the full 90 minutes, making six saves in the NAC contest. The Tigers' backline, featuring
Rob Staubitz (East Rockaway, NY),
Samuel Spraker (Broadalbin-Perth, NY) and
Garrett Aikins (Morris, NY), limited Delhi's opportunities and kept the score within reach.
Delhi controlled the match statistically, registering 14 shots compared to Cobleskill's five, including eight on target to the Tigers' one. The Broncos also held the corner kick advantage 7-1, with their goalkeeper recording a single save in the shutout.
The Broncos drew first blood in the seventh minute as Umaru Conteh headed home a cross for an early 1-0 lead. Cobleskill regrouped defensively and held firm for the remainder of the half, though the offense struggled to generate momentum. A set piece opportunity following a Delhi yellow card went unconverted, leaving the Tigers still searching for an equalizer.
In the 62nd minute, Sean Szczcotka doubled Delhi's advantage with a precise shot into the corner of the net. Cobleskill pressed forward in the closing minutes sending numbers forward, but could not find a goal as the Tigers' 2025 season came to a 2-0 close.
