Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has announced that junior outside hitter Emma Hinze (Altenburg, Mo.) and junior setter Baylee Kirschberg (Lindenhurst, NY) have been selected as the Fighting Tiger Athletes of the Week for the period ending October 5, 2025.

Emma Hinze anchored the Tigers defensively while making key contributions across the board as Cobleskill went 1-1 on the week. In the opening match against Thomas, Hinze tallied a season-high 14 digs along with 11 kills, an ace, and an assist. She followed with another strong showing in the Tigers' 3-0 sweep of Lesley, recording 12 digs, five aces (a season high), and a block while adding nine kills on a season-best .538 hitting percentage. For the week, Hinze totaled 26 digs, 20 kills, six aces, two assists, and a block while hitting .317 and playing multiple positions for the Tigers.

Baylee Kirschberg continued to direct the Cobleskill offense, combining for 29 assists over two matches. Against Thomas, she posted 16 assists, 13 digs, six kills, and two aces, then followed with a standout effort versus Lesley, tallying a season-high seven aces along with 13 assists, five kills, and three digs. The team also celebrated Kirschberg reaching the 1000 assist club on Saturday, becoming the second all-time in program history in career assists.
