Starks-Swotkewicz Finishes Second as Cobleskill Takes Runner-Up at Hartwick

Davenport, NY – First-year runner Reid Starks-Swotkewicz (Schoharie, NY) turned in the best finish of his collegiate career on Saturday morning, placing second overall and helping the SUNY Cobleskill men's cross country team to a runner-up team finish at the Hartwick Invitational on the 8K course at Pine Lake Environmental Campus.

Starks-Swotkewicz covered the course in 32:19.2 to finish second out of 22 runners, marking his second straight top-five performance. The strong outing continued an impressive stretch for the first-year runner as he once again paced the Tigers at the front of the field. Aiden Pettit (Corinth, NY) was the next Cobleskill runner across the line, finishing fifth overall in 34:06.0. His top-five showing gave the Tigers two runners among the first five finishers and helped establish a strong early position in the team scoring.

Michael Jocz (Syracuse, NY) added another top-10 result for Cobleskill, placing eighth in 35:47.9. David Kogan (Brooklyn, NY) followed in 11th with a time of 36:24.5, narrowly missing a spot inside the top 10. Hunter Johnson (Union Dale, PA) crossed next for the Tigers in 14th place at 37:02.8, while Julian Brito (Brooklyn, NY) followed in 15th with a time of 38:28.0.
