Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has announced that women's volleyball senior Baylee Kirschberg (Lindenhurst, NY) and men's cross country first-year Reid Starks-Swotkewicz (Schoharie, NY) have been named the Fighting Tiger Athletes of the Week for the period ending October 18, 2026.

Kirschberg delivered a standout performance in the Fighting Tigers' five-set SUNYAC battle against SUNY Potsdam, setting a new career high with 40 assists while helping guide Cobleskill to a season-high 51 kills. The senior setter also contributed nine digs, five kills and a service ace, finishing with a .158 hitting percentage as she continued to lead the Tigers' offense.

Starks-Swotkewicz continued his impressive first collegiate season with a career-best runner-up finish at the Hartwick Invitational on Saturday. Competing on the 8K course at Pine Lake Environmental Campus, the first-year runner crossed the line in 32:19.2 to place second out of 22 competitors. His performance marked his second consecutive top-five finish and helped lead the Fighting Tigers to a second-place team finish.
