COBLESKILL, N.Y. -Â The SUNY Cobleskill baseball team showed resilience at the plate in a non-conference match up against Oneonta on Wednesday afternoon, falling 21-6 at Fighting Tiger Field.
Despite the final score, the Tigers continued to compete offensively, working disciplined at-bats and generating scoring opportunities throughout the contest. Cobleskill finished with five hits while drawing eight walks, consistently putting runners on base against the Oneonta pitching staff. Ryan Lansing led the Tigers with 2 hits and 3 RBI on the day. Vito Spadafina closed out the game, throwing 3 innings, giving up no earned runs.
Cobleskill plated runs in multiple innings, finding ways to manufacture offense and apply pressure as the game progressed. The Tigers remained aggressive on the bases and capitalized on opportunities to produce six runs on the day.
Oneonta delivered a high-powered offensive performance, totaling 21 runs on 20 hits, to build separation throughout the game.
