Christopher Mango takes over the Fighting Tigers Lacrosse Program after coaching three years at CCNY restoring the men’s lacrosse program at the club level for the college. While at CCNY, he also coached the boys modified and junior varsity lacrosse programs at Westlake High School in Thornwood, N.Y.; additionally, he coached the Westlake-Mount Pleasant town team in 2019.
Prior to his time at CCNY, Mango coached the Georgia Southern University Lacrosse Club for one season and led them to a program best 6-6 record.
Before Georgia Southern, Mango served as the head coach at Mount Saint Michael Academy (Bronx, NY). In the spring of 2015, he coached the Mountaineers varsity lacrosse team to the semi-finals of the Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) Class "A" Championships, ending the year with a 9-7 overall record. After the season, he was selected as an assistant coach for the CHSAA's Senior All-Star team at the Mayor's Cup.
The Yonkers, N.Y. native earned his Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Iona College and his Master's Degree in Sports and Recreation Administration with a Concentration in Coaching from Western Kentucky University.
Mango takes over the program following the 2019 season that saw the Fighting Tigers post a 3-10 mark including a 1-6 record in the North Eastern Atlantic Conference (NEAC).
