James Hunt enters his first season as an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at SUNY Cobleskill.
In his role with the Fighting Tigers, Hunt oversees opponent scouting and performance analysis while leading individual player development and assisting with the program's recruiting efforts. He also plays a key role in integrating data analytics into the team's decision-making process, utilizing performance metrics and video analysis to support player evaluation, match preparation, and long-term program development. In addition, Hunt assists with alumni engagement, fundraising initiatives, and the continued growth of the men's soccer program.
Hunt brings a diverse background to Cobleskill, combining experience as a player, coach, and official. A former All-MAAC defender and two-time team captain at Fairfield University, he went on to play professionally before transitioning into coaching. He previously served on the coaching staff at Fordham University, where he contributed to player development and program operations at the NCAA Division I level.
In addition to his coaching experience, Hunt currently serves as an NCAA soccer referee.
