Megan Bowman completed her seventh season as head coach of the SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball program in 2025-26. In just seven seasons, she has become the winningest coach in program history while also becoming the youngest coach to reach 100 career victories. Bowman owns a 107-54 overall record and has guided the Fighting Tigers to six postseason appearances, five consecutive winning seasons, the program's first conference championship, and its first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance.
The 2025-26 season saw the Fighting Tigers finish 15-11 overall and 11-7 in conference play while advancing to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Tournament semifinals. It marked the program's sixth consecutive postseason appearance and fifth straight winning season, the longest such stretch in the NCAA Division III era.
Bowman led the Fighting Tigers to unprecedented success during the 2024-25 season, guiding the team to a 24-5 overall record and a perfect 14-0 mark at home. Cobleskill captured its first-ever NAC Championship and NCAA Division III Tournament berth before falling to nationally ranked Smith College in the opening round. The Tigers also produced the NAC Player of the Year, NAC Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year, a D3hoops.com Second Team All-Region selection, and a program-record four All-Conference selections.
The 2023-24 campaign was equally historic, as Cobleskill posted a program-record 25-2 record while capturing its first NAC Divisional Championship. The Fighting Tigers established themselves as one of the nation's top teams, leading NCAA Division III in rebound margin (+15.1), scoring margin (+32.2), and opponent field goal percentage (26.4%). The season also saw Logan Thayne become the program's first NAC Player of the Year and D3hoops.com All-Region selection.
Since taking over the program in 2019, Bowman has transformed the Fighting Tigers into one of the premier programs in the conference and region. After leading Cobleskill to its first postseason appearance since 2012 during her inaugural season, she has guided the program to consistent success, compiling six postseason appearances while coaching 12 All-Conference selections, two NAC Players of the Year, one NAC Rookie of the Year, two D3hoops.com All-Region selections, and one NAC Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Before arriving at SUNY Cobleskill, Bowman compiled a 46-19 record in three seasons as head coach at Scotia-Glenville High School, leading the Tartans in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Section II Foothills Council.
A native of Dannemora, New York, Bowman was a standout three-sport athlete at Saranac High School, earning All-State honors in both basketball and soccer.
Bowman enjoyed an outstanding collegiate playing career at Russell Sage College, where she was a three-time All-Skyline Conference selection, scored more than 1,000 career points, and remains the program's all-time assist leader. She helped lead the Gators to the 2014 Skyline Conference Championship and the program's first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance, earning Most Outstanding Player honors at the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament.
In 2025, Bowman was inducted into the Russell Sage Athletics Hall of Fame as both an individual and as a member of the 2013-14 women's basketball team, which was recognized as a Team of Distinction.
Bowman earned her bachelor's degree in Law and Society from Russell Sage College in 2015 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Sport Management from SUNY Cortland.
