Having completed 18 years directing the Fighting Tiger women’s volleyball program coach Scott Hill has directed the program’s rebuilding at the junior college level and its subsequent move to the NCAA Division III ranks. During his tenure with directing the program Cobleskill has posted an overall 189-262 record including a 28-89 mark versus North Eastern Athletic Conference opponents with six players earning all-conference team honors.
Under Hill’s direction Cobleskill has posted a 72-48, 60.0%, match play record at the NJCAA; making NJCAA Region III Division III Tournament appearances in 2005, 2006 and 2007 while capturing Mountain Valley Conference Championships in 2005 and 2006. During this time coach Hill’s players were honored individually with: two NEAC All-Conference Team selections, four All-Mountain Valley Conference Team selections, eight NJCAA Region III Division III Team honors and a pair of NJCAA Academic All-American Team selection.
Hill began his coaching career in 1989 with a three-year stint as the coach of the Upstate Bounce Club’s junior program. From 1995 through 1998, he served as the volleyball coordinator for the Bennett Institute Center for Health and Fitness of Baltimore, MD working with the center’s senior program.
Prior to coming to SUNY Cobleskill he was at Springfield College in Springfield, MA where he served as an Internal/External Site Manager from 2001 thru 2003 while earning his M. Ed. in Athletic Administration in May of 2003 after earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y. in 1995.
Coach Hill also serves the college as an Associate Professor in the SUNY Cobleskill Department of Sport & Exercise.
