Cobleskill, NY: SUNY Cobleskill has named first-year men’s basketball player Marquay Tanksley (Cohoes, NY) as the Fighting Tiger Athlete of the Week for the period ending February 9, 2025.

Tanksley delivered a career-best performance in Cobleskill’s road win over Lesley University, scoring a personal-high 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting. He was effective from three-point range (2-of-4) and nearly perfect at the free-throw line (6-of-7). Contributing on both ends of the court, he also recorded five rebounds, a block, and a steal, playing a key role in the victory.

The Fighting Tigers are back in action on Friday, February 14, when they host VTSU-Johnson in a NAC divisional matchup at 7:30 p.m. in the Iorio Gymnasium.
