Keuka Park, N.Y.: A poor second half cost the SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team in their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opener at Keuka College on Saturday afternoon as the Fighting Tigers dropped a 67-51 decision to the host Wolfpack. The loss drops Cobleskill to 1-3 overall with a 0-1 mark in NEAC play while Keuka improves to 1-4 overall with a 1-0 record in league action.
The Fighting Tigers used strong rebounding and a 10-for-14 effort from the free throw line to take a 31-to-31 tie into the half versus their hosts. However in the second half the Fighting Tigers were limited to only 5-for-28 from the field, 17.9%, as the Wolfpack broke a 46-to-46 tie with 8:46 remaining in regulation by going on a 21-to-3 run to secure the victory.

Shelby Preston, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, notched her fourth consecutive double/double on the year with 16 points and 18 rebounds on the afternoon while freshman guard
Annette Hogan, Margaretville, N.Y., Margaretville High School, tossed in a career high of 16 points to go with three assists. Junior forward
Cassie Beaver, Sherburne-Earlville High School/SUNY Delhi, was also a factor in the contest with 12 points and nine rebounds for the Orange & Black.
Cobleskill will return to action on Sunday December 7 when they travel t Aurora, N.Y. for a NEAC contest versus the Express of Wells College with tip-off at 12:00 p.m.
