Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team was shutout by the visiting Wildcats of SUNYIT 3-0 by set scores of: 25-19, 25-15 and 25-19 on Monday evening in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action at the Iorio Gymnasium. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 7-6 overall on the season with a 1-3 mark in league play while SUNYIT evens their overall record at 8-8 including a 3-2 record in NEAC play.
Wildcat sophomore setter Rebecca Sheely, Schuylerville, N.Y., Schuylerville High School, was a difference maker for the visitors with 27 sets, four digs, three service aces and a kill in the contest while sophomore hitter Emma Larson, Miller Place, N.Y., Miller Place High School, added 10 kills to go with nine service aces and three total blocks on the night. SUNYIT also received a strong outing from freshman middle hitter/outside hitter Megan Will who had 10 kills and two total blocks in the contest.

Melissa Spears, East Fishkill, N.Y., John Jay High School, contributing six kills, six digs and four total blocks. Junior outside hitter
Raven Worthington, Owego, N.Y., Tioga High School/SUNY Delhi, was also a factor in the match for the Orange & Black with five kills, 13 digs and three service aces on the night.
The Fighting Tigers will next return to the court on Wednesday September 24 when they host the Raptors of Bard College in non-conference play beginning at 7:00 p.m. while the Wildcats will also be in action on Wednesday evening when they travel to Clinton, N.Y. to meet the Continentals of Hamilton College with first serve scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
