Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team were severely out muscled by long-time rival Morrisville State College by a 67-35 margin in North Eastern Athletic Conference action at the Iorio Gymnasium on Wednesday evening. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers overall record to 2-12 on the year including a NEAC mark of 1-8 while the Mustangs improve to 11-5 overall with a conference record of 7-2..

Trailing 35-22 at half time the Cobleskill offense went as cold as the upstate New York winter in the second half as the home team was outscored 32-13 in the half while shooting a poultry 5-of-27, 18.5%, from the field.

Freshman guard Annette Hogan, Margaretville, N.Y., Margaretville High School, scored 11 points to lead the team in scoring while sophomore forward Shelby Preston, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coymans-Selkirk High School, notched a double/double with 10 points and 15 rebounds on the evening.  

The Orange & Black will return to action on Saturday January 31 when they travel to Utica, N.Y. to face league rival SUNY Polytechnic Institute beginning at 1:00 p.m.
