Cobleskill, N.Y.: The early season struggles of the SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team continued on Thursday evening as the host Fighting Tigers dropped a 49-29 decision to the visiting Dutchwomen of Union College in non-league action at the Iorio Gymnasium. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 1-4 overall on the year while Union improves to 4-1 on the season to date.
The visiting Dutchwomen opened the contest on a 13-0 run and never looked back as they held the home team to only 11-for-52, 21.2%, from the floor on the evening to secure the victory.
Senior guard Amy Fisher, Singapore, Singapore, United World College of South East Asia, led the visitors balance attack in scoring with 11 points to go with four rebounds while junior forward Abby Katz, Andover, Mass., Andover High School, contributed eight points and seven rebounds on the evening for the winners.

Shiann Coons, Albany, N.Y., Bishop Maginn High School/Schenectady Community College, who tallied 11 points on the evening while junior forward
Shelby Preston, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, had eight points to go with a game high of 18 rebounds.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday December 5
th when they open their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) season by hosting the Wolfpack of Keuka College with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
