Cazenovia, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team's struggles continued on Wednesday afternoon as the visiting Fighting Tigers dropped their fourth straight contest to host Cazenovia College 20-7 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. The loss drops Cobleskill to 2-5 overall on the year including a 0-2 record in NEAC play while the Wildcats improve to 4-3 overall with a 1-1 mark in league action.
Once again a slow start doomed the Fighting Tigers as the Wildcats jumped out to a 6-1 first period then increased their margin to 9-2 at the half. On the afternoon Cazenovia held decisive advantages in shots at 45-25 and ground balls at 50-34 to secure the victory.
Cobleskill was led by sophomore attackman
Chris Magee, Barrington, N.H., Dover High School, who scored three goals on the afternoon and by sophomore midfielder
David Meyers, Manorville, N.Y., Eastport-South Manor High School, who had a goal and two assists on the afternoon.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday April 4 when they host Wells College at the SUNY Cobleskill Soccer/Lax Complex beginning at 1:00 p.m.
