Lukas Baildon was named head men's lacrosse coach at SUNY Cobleskill Ag & Tech in August 2026.
Baildon joins the Fighting Tigers after spending five seasons at Dominican University of California, where he served as offensive coordinator and helped guide the program through its transition from club lacrosse to NCAA Division II competition.
During his time at Dominican, Baildon helped the Penguins earn their first MCLA playoff appearance in 2022 and their first NCAA postseason appearance in 2025. He also helped develop the program's first MCLA All-Americans and NCAA Academic All-Americans, along with several NCAA All-Conference selections and the 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year. Baildon joined the Dominican staff in July 2021 as offensive coordinator while also serving as a strength and conditioning coach within the athletic department.
Prior to Dominican, Baildon served as a graduate assistant coach at Concordia University Irvine. After his first season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he helped guide the Eagles to a winning record and an appearance in the 2021 MCLA National Invitational Tournament. That season, five Concordia players earned All-Southwestern Lacrosse Conference honors.
While at Concordia, Baildon also served as an assistant coach at Northwood High School in Irvine, California. In 2021, he helped guide the Timberwolves to their first Pacific Coast League Championship and CIF playoff appearance while finishing the season with an 11-3 overall record. He also helped develop the first NCAA and NJCAA lacrosse commits in program history.
Baildon began his collegiate playing career at Genesee Community College, competing for the Cougars from 2013-15 as part of a nationally ranked NJCAA program while also serving as president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). He later continued his career at SUNY Potsdam from 2016-18, where he was a starter for the Bears before serving as a volunteer coach while completing his degree.
A native of Germany, Baildon also brings extensive international and box lacrosse experience to Cobleskill. He represented Germany as a member of the 2012 U19 Men's National Team, 2015 U19 Box National Team, and 2016 Men's National Field Lacrosse Team. He also competed in box lacrosse with the Tonawanda Jr. B Braves in 2015 and St. Regis Senior B Braves from 2017-19.
In 2022, Baildon worked with the Haudenosaunee Women's National Team as an equipment manager and strength and conditioning coach for the World Lacrosse Women's World Championship and The World Games. He also founded the JFKS Rams girls youth lacrosse program in Germany in 2012, which has grown into one of the country's largest and most successful girls youth programs.
Baildon graduated from SUNY Potsdam in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Community Health and a minor in Communications. He earned his master's degree in Athletic Administration and Coaching from Concordia University Irvine in 2021.
