Oneonta, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team found themselves on the wrong side of a 12-4 score Wednesday afternoon versus the Hawks of Hartwick College in non-conference action. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 3-6 overall on the year while the Hawks improve to 1-7 overall on the campaign.
The Fighting Tigers defensive struggles returned on Wednesday as Hartwick held a 52-19 advantage in shots on goal while failing on 12-of-26 clear opportunities. Offensively, the Hartwick defense forced 33 Cobleskill turnovers on the afternoon.
Once again junior midfielder
David Meyers, Manorville, N.Y., Eastport-South Manor High School, was a bright spot in defeat for the Orange & Black with a two goals, an assist and three ground balls picked up in the game.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday April 11 when the Fighting Tigers travel to Keuka Park, N.Y. to face the North Eastern Athletic Conference's (NEAC) league leading team the Wolfpack of Keuka College with face-off at 1:00 p.m. Â Â Â Â
