Reading, Pa.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's softball team was eliminated from the 2015 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship Tournament on Saturday afternoon by Wilson College by an 8-4 margin to end their season in a game played at Penn State Berks. The loss closes the Fighting Tigers season at 21-8 while the Phoenix advance in the tournament with a 19-14-1 overall record.
The Fighting Tigers trailed 8-0 after four innings as errors once again led to three unearned runs leaving the visitors from New York with another big deficit to overcome.
Freshman shortstop
Angela Fix, Livingston, N.Y., Germantown High School, led the Cobleskill offense going 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI while her double play partner freshman second baseman Jamie Lord, Mechanicville, N.Y., Ballston Spa High School, was once again productive offensively for Cobleskill going 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
Junior pitcher
Erin Wadsworth, Valatie, N.Y., Ichabod Crane High School, took the loss to fall to 9-5 overall on the season. Â
