Women's Soccer Loses to Southern Vermont at Home 7-1

Fighting Tigers Pounded 7-1 in Non-Conference Play


Cobleskill, N.Y.:  The early season woes of the SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team continued on Saturday afternoon as the Fighting Tigers dropped a 7-1 decision to visiting Southern Vermont College at the Soccer/Lax Complex in non-conference action. The loss drops the Orange & Black to 0-3 on the campaign while the Mountaineers improve to 3-2 overall on the year.

The lone bright spot on the day for Cobleskill came in the 28th minute when sophomore forward Robyn Iverson, Deer Park, N.Y., Deer Park High School, corralled a loose ball in front of the Southern Vermont goal and blasted it home for the team's only goal.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Sunday September 13 when they host the Pioneers of Alfred State College beginning at 12:00 p.m. in non-conference action.
