Abington, Pa.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team dropped a hard fought 3-1 decision to host Penn State Abington on Saturday afternoon in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 2-8 overall including a 0-7 record in league play while the Nittany Lions improve to 6-4 with a 5-2 mark versus NEAC opponents.

Morganne Dick, Johnstown, N.Y., Johnstown High School, took a long thru ball from junior defender
Miranda Rys, Turin, N.Y., South Lewis High School/Mohawk Valley Community College, and beat the keeper one-on-one in the box to give Cobleskill a 1-0 lead.
The visitors would hold that advantage at halftime until the second half when the Nittany Lions scored three times within a four minute segment to put the game out of reach.

Samantha Springstead, Staten Island, N.Y., Notre Dame Academy, was stellar in net for the Orange & Black recording 11 saves in the contest as Cobleskill was outshot 28-to-4 and out corner kicked 8-to-1 on the afternoon.
The Fighting Tigers will conclude their Pennsylvania road trip on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Bryn Athyn, Pa. to meet the Lions of Bryn Athyn College in NEAC action with kick-off slated for 12:00 p.m. Â
