Utica, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 non-conference decision on the road to the host Pioneers of Utica College by scores of 25-20, 25-16 and 25-22 on Tuesday evening. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 8-15 overall on the year while the win elevates the Pioneers to 5-25 on the season.
Sophomore setter
Mackenzie Holbert, Sauquoit, N.Y., New Hartford High School/Herkimer Community College, turned in a strong effort for the Orange & Black with 11 assists, 10 digs and three kills while freshman outside hitter
Emily Potter, Fort Plain, N.Y., Fort Plain High School, added 10 digs, three kills and a pair of service aces.
The Fighting Tigers will return to action this weekend when they close out their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) schedule at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Marcy, N.Y. at the league's final intra-regional event of the season. Cobleskill will open play on Saturday October 22
nd when they face the Express of Wells College at 2:00 p.m. before meeting the Wolves of Keuka College at 4:30 p.m. The team will then close the conference season on Sunday October 23
