SUNY Cobleskill Women's Soccer Shutout by SUNY Polytechnic 4-0 in League Play

Fighting Tigers Suffer Shutout Loss to Wildcats in NEAC Contest


Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to the visiting Wildcats of SUNY Polytechnic Institute on Saturday afternoon in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 6-11 overall including a 2-10 mark in NEAC play while the Wildcats improve to 13-4-1 overall including a 10-3 mark in league action.

Freshman goalkeeper Samantha Springstead, Staten Island, N.Y., Notre Dame Academy, made four saves in net for the Fighting Tigers on the afternoon as the Wildcats took 32 shots in the contest.

Cobleskill will close the season on Sunday October 29th when they travel to Keystone College in La Plume, Pa. to face the Phoenix of Wilson College in a NEAC contest originally scheduled for October 22nd with kick-off scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
