Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's went into Saturday's game versus North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) power Bryn Athyn College looking to add an important victory to their win total in their quest for a conference championship tournament bid. However the visiting Lions used their size and athleticism to wrestle away a 67-57 decision down the stretch from the upset minded Fighting Tigers. The loss drops Cobleskill to 7-11 overall on the year including a 6-6 conference record while Bryn Athyn moves to 13-6 overall with an 11-3 record in league play.
After three quarters the Fighting Tigers held a narrow 56-55 advantage heading into the final stanza. The Orange & Black had battled their taller opponents evenly in all facets of the contest. However the fourth quarter saw the visitors assert themselves in the paint and on the backboard as they took the quarter by a 22-11 margin to secure the league road victory.

Shiann Coons, Albany, N.Y., Bishop Maginn/Schenectady Community College, unleased a three-point barrage at the Lions finishing the afternoon with a game high of 20 points hitting on an impressive 6-of-9 shots from downtown to go with a five assists and three rebounds.
The Orange & Black also showed good balance throughout the line-up as: junior forward
Shelby Preston, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, grabbed 13 rebounds and scored nine points, junior guard/ forward
Ashley Creighton, Niskayuna, N.Y., Catholic Central High School/Schenectady Community College, scored nine points, passed out five assists and took down five rebounds and freshman forward
Morgan Bullis, Bainbridge, N.Y., Bainbridge-Guilford High School, finished with nine points, six rebounds and three assists.
Cobleskill will continue their weekend conference home stand on Sunday afternoon, February 7
th, when they face the Nittany Lions of Penn State Abington for a NEAC contest with tip-off at 2:00 p.m.
