Men's Soccer Falls to MCLA at Home 5-1 in Non-Conference Play

Visiting Trailblazers Shred Fighting Tigers in 5-1 Victory


Cobleskill, N.Y.:  Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) senior forward  Edward Boateng, Worcester, Ma., Worcester North High School, scored three goals including the game winner as the visiting Trailblazers posted a 5-1 win over host SUNY Cobleskill in non-league action. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 2-3 overall on the season while MCLA evens their record at 3-3 on the year.

The Fighting Tigers defense allowed three goals on 16 shots in the first half which effectively decided the issue as the visiting Trailblazers dominated play during the frame.

The lone Cobleskill goal came in the 60th minute of play when freshman midfielder Caleb Lapinel, Stamford, N.Y., Jefferson High School, scored weakside on a cross from freshman midfielder Edward Prieto, Stone Ridge, N.Y., Rondout Valley High School.

The Orange & Black will next be in action on Saturday September 17th when they host The Express from Wells College for a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest with kick-off at 3:00 p.m.
