Poultney, Vt.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team ended a two-game skid on Thursday evening by defeating the host Eagles of Green Mountain College 3-0 by scores of 25-11, 25-6 and 25-12 in non-conference play. The victory improves the Fighting Tigers overall record to 4-2 on the year while the Eagles now fall to 0-3.

The Orange & Black also received solid efforts from Section II products freshman outside hitter
Emily Potter, Fort Plain, N.Y., Fort Plain High School, who had three kills and five digs and from freshman outside hitter
Katerina Weingarten, Cobleskill, N.Y., Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, who notched three kills on the night.
Cobleskill will next be in action over the weekend when they will host the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) North East vs. South Crossover Weekend on Saturday September 17
th and Sunday September 18
th at the Iorio Gymnasium. The Fighting Tigers will open the event on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. versus the Wildcats of SUNY Polytechnic Institute followed by a 5:00 p.m. meeting with the Phoenix of Wilson College. The team will then close the event on Sunday when the face the Mustangs of Morrisville State College at 10:00 a.m. before taking on the Bison of Gallaudet University at 12:00 p.m.
