Cobleskill, N.Y.: The visiting Hawks of Hartwick College rallied from an early first set deficit to spoil the SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team's home opener on Wednesday evening 3-0 by set score of 25-16, 25-12 and 25-14 in non-conference action. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 3-1 on the season while the Hawks improve to 3-2 overall.

The Hawks controlled the action at the net most of the evening as senior outside hitter Hannah Armstrong, Lansing, N.Y., Lansing High School, had a match high 10 kills on the evening while junior opposite side hitter Rosa Maun, Redstone, Co., Roaring Fork High School, had eight kills to go with seven total blocks on the evening.

The Fighting Tigers were paced by sophomore hitter Emilie Reimer, Mattituck, N.Y., Mattituck High School, who had seven kills in the match and sophomore setter Mackenzie Holbert, Sauquoit, N.Y., New Hartford High School/Herkimer Community College, who had 16 assists and nine digs on the evening.

Cobleskill will return to action on Tuesday September 13 when they travel to Castleton, Vt. to face the Spartans of Castleton University in non-league action with first serve at 7:00 p.m.
