Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team opened the semester on Tuesday evening with a 77-42 loss to the visiting Continentals of Hamilton College in non-league action at the Iorio Gymnasium. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers drop to 6-4 overall on the campaign while the Continentals improve to 7-5 overall on the season to date.

The first quarter set the tone of the contest as Cobleskill mirrored the icy January weather tailing 23-5 at the end of the stanza after connecting on only 1-of-9 shots from the field, 11.1%, while committing eight turnovers.  

The Orange & Black were led in scoring by senior forward Shelby Preston, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, who had seven points and seven rebounds and by freshman guard Addy Lawson, Milford, N.Y., Milford High School, who also had seven points on the night as now Cobleskill players reached double figures in scoring.  

The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Saturday January 14^th when they return to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action traveling to Aurora, N.Y. to meet The Express of Wells College with tip-off at 1:00 p.m.
