Marcy, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's basketball team suffered a 73-61 defeat to host SUNY Polytechnic Institute on Saturday afternoon at the Wildcat's Campus Center Gym in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 3-16 overall including a 3-10 mark in conference play while the NEAC North Division leading Wildcats improve to 14-6 overall with an 11-2 record in league action with the win.
In a physical game that was even throughout the afternoon; it was the Wildcats ability to get to the foul line and convert that proved to be the deciding factor as the home team converted on 27-of-36, 75.0%, attempts from the charity stripe, as opposed to Cobleskill's 8-for-13, 61.5%, effort.

Brian Jackson, Bronx, N.Y., Global Enterprise Academy, led the team in scoring with 15 points to go with five rebounds while senior swingman
Joel Costello, Middleburgh, N.Y., Middleburgh High School/Tompkins-Cortland Community College, posted a double/double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore guard
Kahleel Taylor, Bronx, N.Y., Saint Raymond's High School, and junior guard
Malik Chambers, West Point, N.Y., James I. O'Neil, were also double digit scores for the visitors with 12 points each.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Wednesday February 8
th when they travel to Morrisville, N.Y. for a NEAC meeting the Mustangs of Morrisville State College beginning at 7:00 p.m. Â
