Kingston, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team closed the 2017 season on a sour note on Saturday dropping an 18-9 non-conference contest to the host Bard College Raptors at Dietz Stadium. With the loss the Fighting Tigers close the season with a 4-10 record while the Raptors conclude the year with a 5-9 mark.
Once again turnovers plagued Cobleskill as the visitors committed 24 of them on the afternoon which led to Bard posting a 53-35 advantage in shots with a decisive 44-26 advantage in ground balls.
Cobleskill was led in scoring by freshman midfielder
Kieran Tierney, Marcellus, N.Y., Marcellus High School, and sophomore attackman
Garrett Vigrass, Wallkill, N.Y., Wallkill High School, who each scored a pair of goals and by junior attackman
Jeremy Mowrey, Johnstown, N.Y., Johnstown High School/Herkimer Community College, who had a goal and an assist.
Junior midfielder
Kyle Magdziuk, Syracuse, N.Y., Westhill High School, also closed the season on a high note with a goal, two assists, seven ground balls while winning 12-of-22 face-off opportunities.
