SUNY Cobleskill's Volleyball team couldn't rebound from a morning loss to Lancaster Bible with a loss against Southern Vermont College on Saturday. The Fighting Tigers lost a 5 set thriller to Southern Vermont College (25-22, 25-15, 23-25, 25-17, and 9-15) in the late game moving their record to 4-7 on the season. The first game of the day saw Cobleskill lose to a strong Lancaster Bible team in 3 sets, 18-25, 18-25, and 21-25. The loss dropped Cobleskill to 0-3 in NEAC play while LBC moved to 3-1. Leading the Tigers in game one was Sophomore
Mackenzie Holbert who would record a game high 12 assists. Freshman
Rachel Burke would defend the net well with 7 blocks.
In their second match of the day Cobleskill had to bounce back after losing the first and third set to force a 5th game. Freshman,
Karyn Knaul would lead the team with 10 kills to go along with 4 blocks. Sophomore
Emily Potter would lead the team in digs with 15.
Cobleskill will return to action on Tuesday September 26th when they host Bard College in a non-conference match. The action starts at 7pm at Iorio Gynmasium.
