Newburgh, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team took to the road on Thursday evening falling to the host Blue Knights of Mount Saint Mary's College by a 10-0 margin in non-league action. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 0-3 overall on the campaign while the host Blue Knights now improve to 2-0-1 overall.
As in their opening two contests, the Cobleskill women once again could not mount a consist offensive attack as the host Blue Nights outshot their guests by a 50-to-1 margin while holding a 12-0 advantage in corner kicks on the night.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Samantha Springstead, Staten Island, N.Y., Notre Dame Academy, continued to show athleticism between the pipes for the Orange & Black making 19 saves on the evening.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Sunday September 10
th when they travel to Poultney, Vt. to face the Eagles of Green Mountain College with kick-off set for 1:00 p.m.
