Utica, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team returned to the road on Thursday evening traveling to Utica College to drop a hard fought match to the host Pioneers 3-1 by set scores of: 25-20, 28-30, 25-22 and 25-22 in non-league action. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers fall to 4-2 overall on the season while Utica improves to 1-4 overall on the campaign.
After dropping the first set to the Pioneers, the Orange & Black rallied from a 23-17 deficit in the second set to post a 30-28 margin of victory. However despite holding leads in both subsequent sets, Cobleskill could not wrestle the victory away from the home squad.

Emily Potter, Fort Plain, N.Y., Fort Plain High School, notched a team high of 11 assists to go with 16 digs and three service aces while junior setter
Mackenzie Holbert, Sauquoit, N.Y., New Hartford High School, continued to shine on the court with 23 assists, 16 digs, eight kills and two service aces on the evening.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Wednesday September 13
th when they open their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) when the Fighting Tigers host the Wildcats of SUNY Polytechnic Institute in league action beginning at 7:00 p.m.
