Bryn Athyn, Pa.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team closed their weekend road trip on Sunday afternoon by losing a 62-54 decision to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Bryn Athyn College. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers overall record to 7-8 overall including a 2-4 mark in league play while the Lions improve to 5-10 overall with a 1-4 record in conference play.
Cobleskill suffered through a rough shooting afternoon connecting on only 19-of-73, 26.0%, field goal attempts in a contest that saw the visitors held scoreless after cutting the host Lions lead to 57-54 with 1:33 left in regulation.
Sophomore guard
Addy Lawson, Cooperstown, N.Y., Milford High School, was the Fighting Tigers leading scorer with 10 points to go with a season high of seven steals along with four assists and two rebounds. Freshman center Hope Cooper, Gilboa, N.Y., Gilboa-Conesville High School, had eight points and eight rebounds on the afternoon while freshman forward Ali Changa, Watervliet, N.Y., Watervliet High School, added eight points and five rebounds.
Cobleskill will return to action on Wednesday January 17
th when the team travels to Morrisville, N.Y. for an NEAC game versus the Mustangs of Morrisville State College with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
