Aurora, N.Y.: The road woes of the SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team continued on Saturday afternoon as the Fighting Tigers dropped a hard fought 48-45 decision to The Express of Wells College in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 7-10 overall including a 2-7 record in NEAC play while The Express improve to 5-11 overall with a 4-4 conference record.
After trailing for most of the afternoon the Fighting Tigers took a 45-44 lead when sophomore guard
Shaliyah Graham, Bronx, N.Y., Martin Luther King Jr. High School, scored on a driving lay-up. However down the stretch The Express would hold the visitors scoreless while scoring the game's final four points to secure the victory.
Sophomore
Addy Lawson, Cooperstown, N.Y., Milford High School, returned from the injury list to lead Cobleskill in scoring with a game high of 23 points to go with three assists and four steals while
Shaliyah Graham had nine points and four rebounds on the afternoon.
The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Saturday January 27
th when they return home to host the Wildcats of Penn College in conference action with tip-off set for 3:00 p.m.
