Fighting Tiger Women's Soccer Out Fought By Penn State Abington 4-2 on Sunday

Second Half Defensive Lapses Hurt Fighting Tigers vs Nittany Lions in 4-2 Loss


Oneonta, N.Y.:   The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team dropped a hard fought 4-2 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) home decision to the Nittany Lions of Penn State Abington on Sunday in a game played at SUNY Oneonta. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 5-11 overall including a 2-8 record in NEAC action while the Nittany Lions are now 4-9-3 overall including a 2-7-1 record in league play.

The Orange & Black were led by sophomore forward Addy Lawson, Milford, N.Y., Cooperstown High School, who scored a pair of goals on the afternoon on assists by freshman midfielder Rebecca Bruno, Middleburgh, N.Y., Middleburgh High School, and junior midfielder Nellie Ramsden, Marcellus, N.Y., Marcellus High School, in the contest. 

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday, October 27th when they travel to Aurora, N.Y. to meet The Express of Wells College for their 2018 season finale beginning at 12:00 p.m.
