Delhi, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team renewed an old rivalry on Thursday evening traveling to SUNY Delhi for a non-conference meeting with the host Broncos. After over two hours of back and forth play with a number of comebacks and lead changes it was Delhi taking the match 3-2 by set scores of: 21-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-17 and 16-14. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 1-14 overall while the Broncos are now 9-5 on the campaign with the victory.
Senior setter
Mackenzie Holbert, Sauquoit, N.Y., New Hartford High School/Herkimer Community College, had 20 assists, 10 digs and five kills while junior setter
Regan Hubner, Miller Place, N.Y., Rocky Point High School, had 20 assists, 16 digs, eight kills and two service aces on the evening.
The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Saturday October 6
th when they travel to Williamstown, Pa. for a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Cross-Over Weekend hosted by Penn College. Cobleskill will meet the host Wildcats of Penn College at 11:00 a.m. then take on the Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks at 1:00 p.m.
