Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team closed out the 2018 portion of their schedule on Saturday afternoon by downing the visiting Eagles of Green Mountain College by a 70-54 margin at the Iorio Gymnasium. With the win the Fighting Tigers close the semester at 6-3 overall while the Eagles fall to 3-5 overall on the campaign.
Cobleskill was led by the inside/outside duo of junior forward
Gabby Muraczewski, Hamilton Square, N.J., Southern Regional High School, who scored a team high of 14 points to go with six rebounds, two assists and a pair of blocked shots with junior guard
Addy Lawson, Milford, N.Y., Milford High School, adding 13 points, seven assists, three rebounds and three steals to the team's win totals.
The Fighting Tiger bench also played a major role in the victory outscoring the Eagles 30-to-11 on the afternoon as freshman guard/forward
Kristena Westerfeld, Margaretville, N.Y., Margaretville High School, came off the pines to score 12 points and grab six rebounds while junior guard
Liyah Graham, Bronx, N.Y., Martin Luther King Jr. High School, returned to the line-up off the injured list to score eight points, take down five rebounds and pass out two assists in a reserve role.
The Orange & Black will next be in action on Monday January 7
th when they travel to New Rochelle, N.Y. for a non-conference game versus the Blue Angels of The College of New Rochelle beginning at 5:00 p.m.
