Keuka Park, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's basketball team played the role of road warriors on Saturday afternoon posting a hard fought 79-76 upset victory over the host Wolves of Keuka College in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. With the win the Fighting Tigers move to 7-16 overall on the season including a 4-11 mark in NEAC play while the Wolves fall to 10-11 overall with an 8-6 record in conference action with the loss.

The Fighting Tigers used exceptional three-point shooting, 12-of-26 (46.2%), and opportunistic defense forcing 22 Keuka turnovers which led to 18 points to overcome a 37-35 half time deficit and avenge an earlier 63-60 home loss to the Wolves on December 9th.

It was the Cobleskill backcourt that did the Tigers' share of the damage to the home team as sophomore guard Devin Boyle, Johnstown, N.Y., Johnstown High School, who netted a career high of 17 points to go with two rebounds along with senior guard Malik Chambers, West Point, N.Y., James I. O'Neil High School, who chipped in 15 points to go with two rebounds.

The Fighting Tigers also received strong contributions from senior center Christian Cooper, Gilboa, N.Y., Gilboa-Conesville High School, with 13 points and six rebounds, senior swingman Joel Costello, Middleburgh, N.Y., Middleburgh High School/Onondaga Community College, with 11 points, three assists and three rebounds and from sophomore forward Kahlil Wilson, New York, N.Y., The Renaissance Charter School, who had nine points, five rebounds and four assists in the victory.

Cobleskill will close out the road portion of their schedule on Tuesday evening when they travel to Clinton, N.Y. for a non-conference meeting with the Continentals of Hamilton College with tip-off slated for 6:00 p.m.
