Cobleskill, N.Y.: After having their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) home game versus the Wildcats of Cazenovia College pushed back a day due to winter weather, the SUNY Cobleskill men's basketball team dropped a hard fought 58-50 decision to the visiting Wildcats on Thursday evening at the Iorio Gymnasium. With the loss the Fighting Tigers are now 6-16 overall on the year with a 3-11 mark in league play while Cazenovia moves to 6-16 overall on the season including a 5-8 mark in conference play.
After taking a 36-27 lead into the locker room at half time the Fighting Tigers went as cold as the February temperatures scoring only 14 points in the second half while connecting on only 3-of-28, 10.7%, shots including 1-of-17, 5.9%, from three-point range.
Junior forward
Anthony McNeil, Gresham, S.C., Union-Endicott High School/Broome Community College, continued his strong play with a team high of 16 points to go with eight rebounds and three assists on the evening while senior guard
Malik Chambers, West Point, N.Y., James I. O'Neil High School, scored 11 points and grabbed four rebounds on the evening.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday February 10
th when they travel to Keuka Park, N.Y. to meet the Wolves of Keuka College in NEAC action beginning at 1:00 p.m.
