Abington, Pa.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's baseball team opened their weekend North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Pennsylvania road trip on Saturday afternoon by dropping a pair of league games to the league leading host Nittany Lions of Penn State Abington by scores of 3-1 and 8-0. The Fighting Tigers are now 2-17 overall on the year including a conference record of 1-3 while the Nittany Lions move to 19-7 overall with a 9-0 mark in league action.

Devin Lewis, Cobleskill, N.Y, Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, was a hard luck loser on the afternoon holding the potent Nittany Lion offense to only three runs in six innings striking out six and walking three.
Freshman shortstop
Jacob Hoffee, Lyndonville, N.Y., Lyndonville High School, singled home his double play partner freshman second baseman
Zyere Molinaro, Summitt, N.Y., Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, who had previously singled in the top of the third for the team's only run.
Junior third baseman
Lucas Butcher, Bainbridge, N.Y., Bainbridge-Guilford High School, was the team's top performer at the plate going 3-for-4.
In the nightcap the Fighting Tigers could manage only two hits off Nittany Lion freshman starter Zach Bregenzer, Birdsboro, Pa., Daniel Boone High School, who went the full nine innings striking out five and walking no one to post the victory.
For the Orange & Black freshman center fielder
Mitchell Holmes, Dartmouth, Mass., Bristol County Agricultural High School, was 2-for-3 for the visitors at the plate.
Cobleskill will wrap up their weekend NEAC trip on Sunday April 22 when they travel to Reading, Pa. for a pair of conference games versus the Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks beginning at 12:00 p.m.
