Reading, Pa.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's baseball team closed out their weekend North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Pennsylvania road trip on Sunday afternoon by dropping a pair of conference contests to perennial league power Penn State Berks by scores of 14-1 and 28-0. The Fighting Tigers are now 2-19 overall on the year including a conference record of 1-5 while the Nittany Lions move to 17-8 overall with a 12-0 mark in league action.
In the opener the Nittany Lions flexed their offensive and pitching muscles scoring the first 13 runs of the contest to decide the issue capitalizing on 10 hits and 12 walks by Fighting Tiger pitchers.

Nate Carinci, Oneida, N.Y., Oneida High School/Jefferson Community College, was 2-for-3 for the visitors with a double and the teams only run scored in the fifth inning on a bases loaded walk by freshman second baseman

The second game also saw the host Nittany Lions power at the plate and on the mound as the home team put up 28 runs on 29 hits taking advantage of eight Cobleskill errors and nine walks to register the victory.

Jordyn Schwark, Kingston, N.Y., Kingston High School/SUNY Adirondack, went 1-for-3 in the nightcap after going 1-for-3 in the opener.
Cobleskill will return to NEAC action on Wednesday April 25 when they travel to Marcy, N.Y. for a league doubleheader versus the Wildcats of SUNY Polytechnic Institute beginning at 12:00 p.m.
