Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team closed their 2018 season on Saturday afternoon with a 24-4 home victory over the Mavericks of Medaille College in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. With the win the Fighting Tigers close the season with a 4-9 overall with a 1-7 mark in conference play while the Mavericks are now 1-10 overall including a 0-8 mark in league action. 
 
On senior day the Fighting Tiger graduating class played a major role in the win as on offense led by senior Jeremy Mowrey, Johnstown, N.Y., Johnstown High School, had eight goals and four assists with support from junior Garrett Vigrass, Wallkill, N.Y., Wallkill High School, who tallied five goals and two assists on the afternoon. Senior midfielder/face-off man Kyle Madgziuk, Syracuse, N.Y., Westhill High School, also played a major role in the team's offensive dominance winning 23-of-28 face-offs, picking up a team high 16 ground balls and chipping in an assist on the day.
 
Defensively junior goalie Willie Wilson, Geneva, N.Y., Geneva High School/Tompkins-Cortland Community College, notched the win with 10 saves while senior defenseman Zachary Wrightman, Kerhonkson, N.Y., Roundout Valley High School, finished his career with a seven ground ball effort along with an assist supported by freshman defenseman Nick Dominic, Pittsford, N.Y., Pittsford High School, who forced six turnovers and picked up three ground balls on the afternoon.
