Chicopee, Mass.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team took to the road to open their season on Friday evening falling to host Elms College 3-0 in the opening round of the 2018 Blazer Invitational by scores of 25-12, 25-21 and 26-24. With the loss the Fighting Tigers open the season with a 0-1 mark while Elms starts off the year at 1-0.

Sophomore middle hitter Karyn Knaul, Central Square, N.Y., Paul V. Moore High School, turned in a solid effort in the opener with a match high eight kills to while junior opposite side hitter/setter Regan Hubner, Miller Point, N.Y., Rocky Point High School, added seven kills, nine assists, seven digs and three service aces on the evening.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday September 1^st at the Blazer Invitational when they once again meet the host Blazers beginning at 11:00 a.m. prior to facing the Falcons of Albertus Magnus College at 1:00 p.m.
