Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team ran their season opening winning streak to two games on Sunday afternoon shutting out the visiting Nighthawks of Newbury College by a 5-0 margin at the Soccer/Lacrosse Complex in non-conference play. With the victory the Fighting Tigers move to 2-0 on the campaign while the Nighthawks are now 0-2.
On the heels of snapping their 17-game losing streak versus SUNY Old Westbury on Friday the Fighting Tigers dominated the action outshooting the Nighthawks 35-to-7 while holding a 14-to-4 advantage in corner kicks to dominate time of possession.
Junior midfielder Nellie Ramsden, Marcellus, N.Y., Marcellus High School, played a key role in the Cobleskill victory with a goal and a pair of assists displaying strong offensive playmaking skills that set up a number of Fighting Tiger offensive opportunities.
The home team received multiple scoring efforts from junior forward
Addy Lawson, Cooperstown, N.Y., Cooperstown High School, who tallied a pair of goals to go with an assist and from freshman forward Rebecca Bruno, Middleburgh, N.Y., Middleburgh High School, who also had two goals and an assist on the afternoon.

Abigail Wetsel, Schoharie, N.Y., Schoharie High School, posted her first collegiate shutout record three saves to improve her record to 2-0 on the year.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday September 8
th when they travel to Buffalo, N.Y. to meet Villa Maria College for a non-conference contest kicking at 12:00 p.m. Â Â
