Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team stepped out of league play on Sunday afternoon suffering an 82-48 loss to the visiting Bengals of the University of Maine at Fort Kent at the Iorio Gymnasium. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers fall to 10-7 overall on the season while the Bengals improve to 19-3 on the campaign.
The Bengals showed their claws defensively with a tenacious full-court press which forced the Fighting Tigers into 30 turnovers on the afternoon and a 40-to-10 advantage in points off turnovers for the visitors on the afternoon. Fort Kent jumped out to a 23-8 first quarter lead and never looked back leading from opening tip to the final hour.

Addy Lawson, Milford, N.Y., Milford High School, hit for 10 points along with three rebounds and two assists in the contest.
The Orange & Black will return to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action on Wednesday January 30
th, when they travel to Morrisville, N.Y. to meet the Mustangs of Morrisville State beginning at 5:00 p.m.
