Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team handed the visiting Wildcats of Bay Path University a 3-1 defeat on Tuesday evening at the Iorio Gymnasium in non-league play by scores of: 25-7, 25-11, 23-25 and 25-13. With the victory the Fighting Tigers even their overall record at 7-7 on the year while Bay Path falls to 2-9 on the season to date.

The Fighting Tigers were led by Mikayla Catherman, Marietta, N.Y., Marcellus High School, who posted a season high of 33 digs in the match to go with eight service aces and a kill on the evening while junior middle hitter Rachel Burke, West Winfield, N.Y., Mt. Markham High School, chipped in five kills and four solo blocks on the evening. Junior setter Maleigha Ellithorpe, Cazenovia, N.Y., Cazenovia High School/Mohawk Valley Community College, was also a factor in the win with 16 assists and two service aces on the evening.

Cobleskill will return to action on Saturday October 5^th when they host North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Cazenovia College for a league match with first serve scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
