Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's volleyball team closed out the college's Saturday Homecoming festivities by defeating the visiting Wildcats of Cazenovia College in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) 3-0 by set scores of: 25-22, 25-20 and 25-17 at the Iorio Gymnasium. With the victory the Fighting Tigers move to 8-7 overall on the season including a 1-3 mark in NEAC play while the Wildcats are now 2-15 overall with a 0-4 record versus league opponents.

Maleigha Ellithorpe, Cazenovia, N.Y., Cazenovia High School/Onondaga Community College, led the way to the win with 29 digs, eight digs, three kills and three service aces on the evening while junior middle hitter
Rachel Burke, West Winfield, N.Y., Mt. Markham High School, added a match high of nine kills.
Cobleskill also received strong outings from the trio of: sophomore middle hitter Jillian Nitchman, Ballston Spa, N.Y., Ballston Spa High School, with eight kills, five service aces, four digs and a solo block, senior outside hitter
Katerina Weingarten, Carlisle, N.Y., Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, with seven kills and sophomore outside hitter
Sarah Bates, Cobleskill, N.Y., Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, with six kills and five digs. Â Â
The Orange & Black will return to action on Tuesday October 8
th when they host the Raptors of Bard College in non-conference action beginning at 7:00 p.m.
