Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team returned to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action on Saturday afternoon by dropping an 8-0 decision to the Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks at the Fighting Tigers Soccer/Lax Complex. With the lost the Fighting Tigers are now 3-9-1 including a 1-4-1 record in league action while the Nittany Lions are now 8-6 overall with a 6-0 record versus NEAC opponents.
The Tigers ended the contest with 2 shots but couldn't find the back of the net against a tough Penn State Berks defense. Despite a hardworking effort by the Tigers the visiting Nittany Lions scored four goals in each half for the victory and ended the game with 27 total shots including 17 on goal. Sophomore keeper
Abigail Wetsel (Schoharie, N.Y./ Schoharie High School) had 9 saves in net for the Tigers.
Cobleskill will end their weekend on Sunday afternoon when they host the Wildcats of Penn College for a NEAC match-up beginning at 2:00 p.m.
