Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team closed out their weekend North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) homestand on Sunday afternoon with a 2-0 shutout victory over the visiting Wildcats of Penn College at the Fighting Tigers Soccer/Lax Complex. With the win the Fighting Tigers are now 7-4-2 overall including a 5-1-1 record in NEAC play while the Wildcats are now 1-10-2 overall with a 1-4-2 conference record. The win also moves Cobleskill into sole possession of third place in the overall NEAC play-off standings.

The Fighting Tigers then iced the contest early in the second half when senior forward
Emile Vwaza, Manhattan, N.Y., Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis High School, converted on a penalty kick in the 46
th minute to give the home team a 2-0 lead from which they never looked back.
Pressed into service due to injuries; sophomore reserve goalkeeper
Garrett Maxwell, Enfield, Conn., Suffield High School, recorded four saves to go with several well timed defensive plays to secure the shutout league victory. Â Â
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday October 19
th when they travel to Lancaster, Pa. to meet the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College for a NEAC game with kick-off at 1:00 p.m.
